Buongiorno, Etta. Your return to Italy is around the corner now! Gelato Affogato al caffe is also one of my favorite desserts and now may appear at the end of my small dinner party tonight! (My guest has a gluten allergy, so how perfect.) It's still hot in Charleston so will be just the perfect ending. We are off to Pistoia 1 week from tomorrow and I will be on the hunt for the best cafes for coffee!

We had a dinner for ten last night (our movie group), and I made a lovely porchetta and a tomato salad from Domenica Marchetti’s Rustic Italian cookbook. No one wanted coffee when we finished our dessert! Best wishes for your viaggio!
